Since hitting the airwaves in the late 1970s, Nickelodeon has been one of the great bastions of television programming for kids. From Danger Mouse and Count Duckula to Inspector Gadget, from The Wild Thornberrys to Hey!Arnold, The Elephant Show to Rupert, Blue's Clues to The Busy World of Richard Scarry, The Brothers Garcia, My Brother and Me, Taina, Unfabulous and 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd, Nick has brought a huge variety of shows from sitcoms, cartoons to a whole slew of inventive game and variety shows.
With the current resurgence of Nick as a popular and dominating force in the pop culture with iCarly's spaghetti tacos even getting written up in the NY Times and trending on Twitter, we here at the Majak Kingdom would like to salute Nick's programs that we enjoyed when we were growing up.
Next week we will devote a day to each of the following:
Monday will be Nick, Jr. shows
Tuesday is all about the sitcoms
Wednesday is devoted to the game shows
Thursday has got the Nicktoons on lock
Friday we end the week in tribute to both Snick
And the current crop of Nick programming
